The MapRecorder app is part of a research project to investigate mobile map usage patterns on mobile devices, in particular with Google Maps. The app was developed by the HCI research group at the University of Bremen, Germany (http://hci.uni-bremen.de), with assistance from the PSA Computing Research Group at Northwestern University (psacomputing.org). How to contribute to our study? Please download the app, put the standard Google Maps app in a separate folder, replace it with our app and start using Google Maps through our app. The app records anonymized research data that helps us to understand how people use mobile maps.
